West Brom and Derby County among Championship clubs linked with Coventry City talent Zain Westbrooke

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Championship quartet West Brom, Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City are all interested in Coventry City midfielder Zain Westbrooke, who the Sky Blues are said to value at over £2 million.

Midfielder Zain Westbrooke signed for Coventry City in the summer transfer window of 2018 on a free transfer from Brentford, and he has become a fixture in Mark Robins’ first-team plans in the 2019/20 campaign.

His impressive performances in the middle of the park have seen Westbrooke lock down a spot in Robins’ starting 11 this season, making a total of 24 appearances across all competitions, netting four goals and providing four assists in the process.

And now, it has been reported by TEAMtalk that Westbrooke is attracting attention from a number of Championship sides. Quartet West Brom, Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City have all been said keen on the midfielder this January. However, given the crucial role Westbrooke has played in helping Coventry City to 3rd place in the League One table, the club are not willing to let him go on the cheap.

The Sky Blues are reported to value Westbrooke at a minimum of £2 million, as they look to maintain the strong core of their squad to help them in their efforts of winning promotion to the Championship come the end of the season.

He spent time in the academy at Chelsea before heading to Brentford to link up with their youth sides. Prior to leaving the Bees in 2018, Westbrooke appeared once for the club’s first-team, also spending time out on loan with Solihull Moors and Leyton Orient.
